Chosen Solution

I have a Samsung Note 5 whose battery I recently replaced. While reassembling the phone I noticed that the edges of the gold decal were peeling away from the front panel. Pushing the edges back onto the glass didn’t work. Whatever it was that made it stick to the glass in the past is not working anymore. A photo of the phone before I replaced the battery. Note the corners of the golden decal (pink arrows). Looking at the picture, you can see the left corner was already peeling off a little. Compare to the right corner. The green line indicates the screen protector, to avoid confusion.

After replacing the battery, the peeling got worse. Not only is the left corner peeling more, but the right and bottom corners have started to peel away as well.

I would appreciate any advice on how to stick the decal neatly back again to the inside of the front panel.

I’m going to point you at a page where different glass adhesives, pro’s and cons and user ratings are available, hopefully armed with that you can select an appropriate glue. There are other similar pages out there, this is just the first I came upon that looked worth reading. Go here, for that. Good Luck and let me know if you need more help. If it isn’t the glass but two plastics, I think you ll also be able to use this information. Also, since this is a Samsung, replacement parts are available.
