Chosen Solution
so i fixed my ylod problem on my 1st gen (fat model) for the second time but noticed i had a problem starting games and netflix and noticed the blu ray drive ribbon wasnt connected to the motherboard completely so i went back in and ended up breaking the blu ray drive ribbon clip to the motherboard. the problem i have now is the ps3 will have power and show the red light but when i press the start button on the ps3 or even the controller i cannot get the green light to turn on and actually start the ps3. also the eject button beeps (because i already have a disc in it) when i press it so i know that it senses that button is being pressed even though the drive isnt connected. i may have stipped the memory card ribbon because i dropped thetop case while it was still connected, which i dont think would stop it it from starting but i really dont know. once i fix this starting issue im sure it will work but if anybody has had experience with this problem or knows anything can you please help?
the GPU of your ps3 is bad. you have to replace it.
the sensor pin underneath the touch sensor was flipped down instead of up. very easy fix!
