I have a Sony kd55s8005c 16months old it failed a software update so I updated it via usb now the screen is just green lines no sound when switching the tv on or when anything is plugged in when I disconnected the ribbons at the t con board the lines disappeared and just back light was on all that is on the screen is bands of green yellow when it starts up it’s the colours of android starting but it’s bands on the screen
John-craig Lynn under any other circumstance I would have set Panel or T-con board but in your case it maybe caused by bad firmware. Let us know which version firmware you used and how you update. Failed updates can be tricky to repair
