Every time I push back and pull forward my Chromebook screen, most of the previously black pixels turn green. It takes a lot of time to find the right angle where the image returns to normal. Is there a DIY way to fix this?
Did someone recently service the device, or is this a refurbished device? It sounds like either the display cables are getting pinched, or there is a loose connection. If you are comfortable doing so, I would suggest popping off the front cover of the lcd, and checking all the wiring, seeing if the problem remains if you loosen up the wires.
I heard rumors that this is fixed by buying this game called CS:GO, you join into a community server called jailbreak, you type 123 in the console and then you pour milk all over your dog or cat or if you dont have any pets like that pour it over yourself.. (note : If you have a dog or cat and you decide to pour it on yourself it wont work) and then I think if im correct you watch the first season of death note and then its fixed.
Try re-connecting the video cable on the motherboard and at the back of the display. NOTE:- You will need to take apart the machine to do this. But, at your own risk. See “YouTube” videos for this, if you are unsure of the dismantling procedure. If you do this, and it still plays up, then you need a new “video” cable… There are plenty to be had on eBay! Hope this helps?
