Hi Folks Recently, the display of my Flex 2-15 started glitching around, out of nowhere. It started with some horizontal purple lines, than the display had a green/purple tint. I figured that before I actually open the device, I might as well just play a few hours of video, which actually fixed the error for a short time. Later, the screen started flashing again, but got back to it’s normal stage after some time (15-30min). So I opened the device. I checked the ribbon connectors connecting MB and display, but they seem okay (also cleaned the contacts). The actual cable doesn’t seem to have any stress or simmilar and appears to be in okay shape. Also checked the connections on the (what I first thought was the backlight inverter) touchscreen controller. I couldn’t find the backlight inverter, but it doesn’t seem like a backlight inverter related issue. I think it’s either the graphics card, the panel itself (unlikely) or still the ribbon cable. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
There is a problem with the display or the connections to the display, it is hard to say witch one it is but I would replace the display (it should come with new cables) and see if the problem persists…
