The Button next to the power button that says GPU is what is used to restart the machine and shift from the display using Graphics Cards (NVidea Geforce) and Internal Display (Intel). When using internal graphics it shows on both screens but when it uses the Graphics Cards (GPU) it only shows on the TV Screen when connected to the TV with an HDMI cable (not on the laptop screen at all even when changing display options). The only way I am able to play games with full graphics is when connected to a TV as it only shows on this display in GPU (Graphics card mode).
Please could you provide a quote so I know how much it would cost to fix and let me know how we can proceed? I am staying with a family friend in Suffolk.
Kind Regards, Zach
Zachary Hill have you ever tried to play in graphics card mode and it only displayed on the your laptops screen? this sounds actually like normal behavior. The system will automatically detect what program you’re running and switch between Intel GPU(discrete) and NVIDIA GPU(UMA). When running games, usually will be switched to UMA mode. See if these instructions will help you out Discrete vs UMA graphic settings
