I know my computer is hacked, but I’m trying to pull the correct evidence. If you look at the files in /Library/Preferences, its strange the are being modified on a very regular basis. Please take a look at these .plist files and see if anything looks strange. I was extremely frustrated with the SystemConfiguration files. Even when I gave myself Read/Write privileges, I was not able to update the file. I’m running a fresh install of Catalina. I’m 100% sure this computer is compromised. Let me know if there are any log files you would like to see. I’m pretty sure the computer is net booting from a malicious source.
Hi In order to confirm that it’s hacked I would recommend disconnecting it from internet and booting into safe mode and seeing if these sorts of things continue If it was hacked I would believe that a fresh install of Catalina would have fixed things as most of the things a hacker would use would have been swept away with the old version you got rid of Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
