Bear in mind this doesn’t have to do with lines. It’s the brightness of the screen, darker on one side than another, and this is on a new screen. This is a new screen, and for some reason it’s darker too left, but more dark on almost all the left side. I’ve never had this happen before. Has anyone else seen this or know why?
What you wanna do is lower your brightness all the way down, turn off your phone and when it’s on put the brightness all the way up, set it on night mode and set your phone on a warm surface or somewhere warm. After a couple hours (12-24 hours) it should look better if not there is probably water that damaged the inside so in that case take apart the phone (vids on YouTube) and dry it from inside.
Mine was fixed by enabling/disabling the zoom. Now I have a perfectly bright screen and it never goes half dark & half light
when will people learn to pop the battery before changing a screen! the 6s series up still carry voltage even after being powered off so it is essential you pop the battery to stop blowing the backlight chips. with is exactly what has happened to the poster. no matter how many screens you try they will all have the greyed out part that will continue to get bigger.
It’s a backlight issue. There are “filters” (fuses) on the logic board that protect the backlight circuit in the case of a short or power surge. You will need an experienced micro soldering repair to be done to Micro solder a new filter to the logic board. Google, “half backlight” and you will see the symptom and repair
I do not own an iphone but i remember a friend talked about this when i asked him the same thing. He said that he turned on “night mode” or something close to that. Find it in the bottom bar. Hope this helps
This happened to me recently , and all I did was reset my phone by holding down the power button and powering it off . When it turned on it was perfectly fine .
It’s the replacement screen’s lcd , often third party screens have these issues so contact the distributor and ask for a replacement .
Changing zoom to standard fixed my iPhone 7 Plus.
I cannot answer why this happens but if you turn the brightness down all the way and hard shut off your phone( hold the power and the home button) and when it comes back on it should be fixed.
Hi Guys, Another Fix if the above don’t work require you to go inside the iphone as this happen to me after replacing a battery, half the screen was dimmed and I fixed it by remove the screenPop the battery (so it doesnt discharge)remove the connectors to the screen ( see this tutorial) - iPhone 6s Plus Battery ReplacementBlow dry it with cool air not heater - just in case there is any liquidreseat the screen connectors being careful to ensure there it a firm click in place for each - one thing to note is to remove tension off the cables by not having the screen at 90 degrees when replacing the connector protector plate, instead around the 75-85 range. this is just incase the connector slightly unseats which is what expect the issue was with my first attempt and getting the display not showing rightreconnect the battery and start up Hope this helps if the more simple methods fail
yes, I have seen this problem and I have it right now on my phone as well.
Turn off low light filter. It is a bug in filters which leads to filter being applied to only a portion of screen.
Click the home button three times in a continuous fashion the issue will be solved.
