I just moved this to my house. This TV was working 100% when we went to see it. We wrapped it in two moving blankets and padded it with couch cushions and moved it to our house - a 20 minute drive with minimal bumps. I deal with moving computer monitors frequently, so I was very gentle moving it into my house and mounting it. Now half the screen is very dark. There are some mild horizontal lines and ghosting of the image as well. White things appear about 90% as expected, but mid-level to black-level parts of the image look as if someone turned the contrast up to 500%. It seems like I have the first three problems of this video. There was one potential pressure point on the top of the TV where a strap was resting on it, but I really didn’t think it was too tight. I might have been wrong about that. If there was a pressure point up top, what issue could that create? Any ideas?

Hi @jbarx19 , Try testing that all the LED backlights are coming on the same if only to eliminate them as a problem. Turn off the TV (if on) and then disconnect the power from the TV. Disconnect the cable between the power board and the mainboard. Reconnect the power to the TV and turn on the TV. The LED backlights should come on and stay on and they should all have the same intensity. If not then there is a problem with the backlight array power feed somewhere, power board, cable or LED array. If they do then at least they have been eliminated. There are tab connectors along the top of the TV that connect the tcon board to the LCD panel. These connections are very fragile but usually when they disconnect from the panel there are vertical black lines not just a darkening and also not over such a wide area. The TAB connector boards can be seen in the image that you posted where the 4 flex cables from the tcon board connect to them. Try cleaning and reseating the contact ends of the 2 flex cables, (both ends) that go from the tcon to the TABs on the side where the dimming is, just in case they have come loose during transit etc

It is most likely the COF driver chips on the side of the Lcd panel. To confirm that you have to disassemble the actual lcd frame. There is 4 cof chips on each side.Check the ones on the dark side of the screen with magnifying glass and one of them would be visualy burned.I had the same problem with my samsung tv and i have temporary fixed it by removing all 4 on the dark side of the lcd.The tv worked like that with good picture for about a year after that.only downside was with the 3d function of the tv,the picture looked like every other row of pixels were missing.to remove the cof chips you need to gently heat the lcd with hear dryer and just peel them off ,they are bonded with dual sided thermal tape to the lcd.TRY THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK IT WORKED FOR ME BUT I DONT WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE. PS i have seen its an old tread and you may not have the tv any more but it may help others
