Since the original poster has not replied, I will. I have a push lawnmower with a Honda engine. It is harder to push last year than last year. Does it just need a tune up?
Pennylynn, If the lawn mower has not been serviced in a few years, you should have it serviced, The blades are probably dull making it harder to push, the under body may be all clogged up with grass, the wheel hubs may require cleaning/lubrication and engine RPM may need adjusted if not running at optimum. One other thing that can make a mower easier to push, is to raise the deck height by lowering the wheels a bit and having the push handle set at a comfortable height for your size.. Good luck.
