i have same problem with samsung tv Power went out while watching (ice/snow took out line somewhere — no lightning) despite use of a surge protector, the tv will not turn on. the red standby light on bottom front of tv is not lit I have 125 volts at input plug on tv, but only 60 volts on the power board ; what i take to be a fuse nearby tests good.

Hi @notwildbill , IF your power board number is BN44-00806F, check if you have 7.5V DC on the STB (standby) lead going to the mainboard. Here’s an image taken from a board I found online that shows where to find it.

(click on image to enlarge for better viewing). If not there is a problem with the Power board. Unplug the mainboard from the power board and check if the voltage is there or not as well, in case the mainboard is dragging the power board voltage down. Also as an aside, if you had the TV connected to a low end (cheap) surge protector of the “sacrificial” type i.e. one time surge protection only, unless it gives an indication that it has operated due to a surge and most don’t, either no indicator light showing on the surge protector or perhaps no power available through the surge protector, you have no way of knowing whether or not it was working correctly and would have protected your TV in the event of a surge etc as it may have “sacrificed” itself before this event and was non functioning as far as surge protection went. There is plenty of info online regarding the “better” surge protectors that are available, i.e. indicate whether they are still operational or not. Some even offer a warranty - example only in the event of equipment damaged when connected to their protectors
