Chosen Solution

Have a nail under the flat agitator and can’t get agitator off to get it out

  1. Pry the agitator cap off by inserting a screwdriver into the cap’s notch
  2. Pull the inner cap (if present) off – most machines use this inner cap, with a handle, to gain access to the center bolt
  3. Remove the bolt in the center of the agitator (7/16" hex-head steel bolt or a 1/2" square drive plastic nut – use a 3/8" X 1/2" ratchet adapter)
  4. At this point it really depends on whether you have an older model or newer. But you will be able to remove agitator out.

Sorry if I am speaking out something else entirely…. I’m just going off what I routinely see from having to clean mine out (horrible at emptying my pockets after a long day)
