So I having the same issue, I bought a 2019 MacBook Pro 13 Inch model, which arrived yesterday morning. It was working normally but at about 56% battery it just shut itself off and it keeps doing that no matter how often I perform said SMC reset. Gonna call Apple tomorrow they better replace me my !&^#% machine … haven’t even had it for 24h and its basically junk.
