Hello friends, I have a ASUS ROG STRIX GL553VD with a similar trouble, pwr and caps lock flash solid and hdd blinks for a second alongside the rgb keyboard but wont start, I have already done a cold reset, disconnected AC, and battery alongside all peripherals, RAM and hdd works on another laptop. It just wont start, it wont even boot to BIOS.
Hi, It may be that the laptop is not passing POST for some reason Try a full power refresh to eliminate a corrupted BIOS as the cause of the problem. You need to dis-assemble the laptop and disconnect both the main battery and the RTC coin cell battery from the motherboard. Then press and hold the laptop’s power On button for 30 seconds and release. Reconnect the RTC coin cell battery re-assemble the laptop, reconnect the main battery, finish re-assembling the laptop and try turning it on. It is difficult because the RTC battery is on the underside of the motherboard so the motherboard has to be removed to access it. Here’s a video that shows what’s involved in gaining access to the RTC battery which can be seen at 7.27 minutes into the video. Here’s an image of the battery location taken from the video as you have to be quick to see it.
