HDMI 2 connection fails to work. This is a new fault. What can be the solution, please?
Hi Tim. Thank you for your kind response. It is a Samsung, Model Code: UE37ES5500KXXU. S/N: BAKW3HKCA00194K. The fault, inexplicably, fixed itself yesterday. ( Please note a correction - It was HDMI 3 that was at fault. Sorry!) Previous faults have been that the audio failed on occasion, and no amount of trying, various different things, would resolve the situation. Then for no reason it would resolve. This is the first time the connection failed altogether. I used a different cable and the problem persisted. I swopped the HDMI 2 from the set top box into HDMI 3 and proved that HDMI 3 was still working, but the feed from my computer still didn’t work. Later on, when I disconnected the HDMI lead from the computer it showed signs of a sudden resolve. So I immediately tried again and lo and behold it was all working as normal. So I immediately put things back as they were before and all was well again. So the problem could be with my Apple Mac. I hope this may contribute as some help to anyone else who might encounter a problem like this. Thanks and kind regards. Stewart.
