I have had my Sky Q connected to HDMI 1 for just over a year. One morning I woke up and nothing would come on. So I moved the hdmi cable to HDMI 2 & 3 and both work no problem. I have tried my PS4 and Switch and stilL nothing showing on HDMI 1. it’s how’s something is connected but no picture. I have tried my Xbox One X and it will show a picture but only at 480p. I’ve gone into the settings of the Xbox and tried to change the display settings to 1080p but will only go up to 720p before it loses the signal. I’ve contacted Samsung but I’m out of warranty and to get the hdmi port replaced is going to cost £250. I have also tried to switch the TV off for 10mins and connect everything again but no success. Anyone got any ideas?
@chocomatt12 since the rest of the HDMI ports till work it would most likely not be a firmware issues etc. Going by the price you were quoted as well as the symptoms, (show a picture but only at 480p..tried to change the display settings to 1080p but will only go up to 720p before it loses the signal), it sounds like a bad main board.
