Im still waiting for my other parts for my computer so i can see if my hdmi plrt is broken. Could some one tell me if it would still work
Mike unless we can clearly see the contacts there is no way to say for sure. Looking at the deformity I would think that either the contacts in the port or on the solder connections have gotten damaged too. You could try and match a HDMI port from either Mouser.com or Digikey.com and see if they have something that will fit. Replacing the port by soldering a new one in its place would eliminate the guesswork.
