When I connect my laptop to an external monitor through the HDMI port, no signal is detected. I’ve changed settings and tried everything. Does the HDMI port need to be replaced/fixed? I can’t find any information about this HDMI port for replacement. HDMI cable and external monitor has been tried with other laptops and work fine.
The port probably needs to be re-soldered or replaced. most phone/tablet repair places can also do this.
