Stephen LaScola you could use a kitchen scale and weigh your iPod The “thick” is ~5.7ounce’s/163g and the “thin” is ~4.9 ounce’s/137g. Check your serial number on this site and see what it tells you.
Depends on your capacity. If i’m not mistaken, the 80GB is the thin version, while the 120GB is the thick version.
Well that is either a 2nd or 3rd GEN I think that you should get a new one
