Chosen Solution
Hi guys, So I just water damaged my phone, and decided not to pay 400 bucks for apple to fix it for me. With that, my lighting connector went, and before getting my phone busted with water, there was a buzzing sound that never goes away coming through to whatever earphones I plugged in (I’ve tried 3 different earphones, 1 head phone and my own studio monitors just to see what’s up, yes I’m an audio guy :P). Given that my lighting port died due to some water damage, I decided to take the opportunity to replace the lighting connector/headphone jack. I did so and my phone can finally charge again. However that annoying buzzing sound is still there when I plug in my earphones and headphones. Any idea what else could be wrong with it? I’ve tried a full restore as well.
