Chosen Solution
I recently acquired an iPhone 6s for $30 but it had some issues with it. The back camera is broken, no working touchID, and for some reason it says there are headphones plugged in. I’ve tried restoring the phone and cleaning the headphone jack and no luck. Will I have to replace the aux port? Is there a way to do this without replacing the whole charging strip?
disconnect the charging port to see if it still says it. if not just replace the whole port
Is there anything stuck in the port? Also try cleaning it with an alcohol wipe and teasers. If still no joy disconnect the charge port flex, if that sorts it then a new charge port is what’s needed. If not then it’s a board level repair.
