Need to find a longer version of the battery connector screw. The hole is stripped at top and screw isn’t long enough with the connector in place to hold now. Without the battery connector in place, the screw can reach the parts of the hole that aren’t stripped, so I think a longer version of the same screw would work. Any idea how to find that (or another compatible slightly longer screw)?
OK this is a 3.7 mm T5 Torx screw, so you need at least a 4.0 mm screw. Take the longer Fan screw (5.0 mm T5 Torx) see if that will work, don’t bottom it out as they could damage things just see if it grips. If it does you’ll need a to get a fan screw set 13” MacBook Pro Screw Set - Fan (x3) Reference Step 14 in this guide MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Logic Board Replacement Now to properly fit it you’ll need a metal file to carefully file down the shaft so the screw is properly flush with the top of the part. Remember it doesn’t need to be tight, use some nail polish to lock it down.
