Chosen Solution

Alright gang. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro that has one of the connectors burned. Please see photos. Disregard “battery connector” label. We know it’s not that.

It is located at about 5 o’clock of the left fan with the Mac battery closest while viewing. The ribbon cable that attaches to the burnt connector is secured by a metal plate with two screws. The ribbon cable goes under the logic board and into the keyboard. I suspect connected to the touchpad maybe. It is the same style connector as the rectangular touch pad connector on many of the newer MacBook Pros. It has 40 pins to be soldered to the board. Here’s what info I believe to be correct: Hirose df40. I cannot find one that has 40 pins, though. Thanks for whatever help you give. Chris Leeds Well Connected Life

Since this is covered under warranty, why would you attempt repair? Any machine that I have problems with during the first year, I always that out the extended two years of AppleCare.
