I purchased an iFixit kit to replace the hard drive on my 2014 iMac 21.5” model 2805. I got to the point where one needs to unplug two display assembly cables : the display data cable and the display power cable. Which I did as instructed, but then realised there is a third cable between the board and the display. I don’t know what it is and it doesn’t seem to want to come out easily. I don’t want to damage anything. The one that is still attached is on the far right. I have a picture but can’t figure out how to attach it here. Thanks in advance! I think you’ve got the iSight camera cable confused with the two display cables. Review step 27 in this guide iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2805 iSight Camera and Microphone Cable Replacement You don’t need to touch this cable when you take the display off
