iMac 2008 24” doesn’t boot into anything, kernel panics in the original install DVD, I can show the verbose, someone said it has a broken SMC. HELP! Update (04/23/2021) @danj

This is what happens when I fresh installed. it keeps saying “your computer restarted because of an issue” at about 3/4 of the way and then reboots itself. El Cap 10.11.6
SMC wouldn’t give you Kernel Panics, the OS panics so you have a messed up OS and/or drive so the OS is unable to boot up cleanly. Do you still have the original grey disks that came with the system? If you do you should have one marked with diagnostics try booting up under it. Update (04/23/2021) As you can see here you have double loading going on!
You have Mach v17.7 loading on top of Mach v17.5 Your OS is messed up! This has nothing to do with SMC.
