Hello, I repaired an iPhone 7 plus screen for one of my clients and Touch ID/Home button is no longer working. Initially I installed new screen that was refurbished and it wouldn’t turn on. So, after a few attempts I decided to put the original screen back on since the replacement seemed to be a defect. After the original screen was put back, it turned on just fine. However, the home button is no longer working. I was thinking I might of ripped the flex cable, so I checked and everything looks good. Home button flex, Screen Flex cable and nothing on the logic board looks physically broken. I’m out of ideas as to what I can do next. Has anyone run into this? if so, what is the recommendation? I been doing repairs for a long time and this is the first time I’ve ran into this issue. Any info would be appreciated!
