i’ve replaces plenty of home buttons. sometimes the touch id works. sometimes it doesn’t. i’m having that very problem with my 6 plus now. i’ve replaces the home button on it about 2 times. this is the first time my touch id has stopped working. i need help
I can see 4 reasons why the Touch ID won’t work: Every iPhone has it’s own ID and the Touch ID has the same ID of the iPhone. So Apple’s security system say’s Touch ID will only work if it has the same ID of the iPhone. So buying a home button with a separate Touch ID will obviously not work.It may be a bad connection with the ribbon cable to the motherboard so verify you well connected the cable to the motherboard.Check if you haven’t damaged the components of the button, the ribbon cable, or if you didn’t accidentally damaged the connector that connects the home button with the motherboard.I may be just scratches on the home button that interferes with Touch ID and makes it hard to identify your finger print. *
