My iphone 7 plus home button is working during the boot process, vibrating and such, but after it is booted up it stops working. It does not say “Unable to activate touch ID” and still registers that there is a working home button. Any ideas?
Is there any previous repairs done on the device? Can you unlock the phone with fingerprint or add a fingerprint in the touchid settings? Since the homebutton is connected to the display and from there into the PCB connector it could be the display flex cable that is damaged, try with a new display and see if that fixes it i guess.
