Chosen Solution
Currently we have experienced several instances of home buttons not working after replacing screens. Screens are from our usual suppliers, home buttons are removed and replaced using same procedures and care we have used for over ten thousand devices. Is it possible the new home button is looking for sleep/wake sensor now or some other sensor in order to function?
its looking like we just had a bad batch of screens. derp. however we are still curious what the new sensor/chip off to the right of the new home button is. anyone have any ideas?
