friends so, I replaced the screen of my iPhone 7 but ater that the click of the button dint work any,ore, but the Touch ID worked perfectly fine. so is checkt it on the original screen and I had the same problem. even worse. the touch id also didn’t work anymore. but the touch on the button (you know, when you want to have half a screen did work) so touch in the button is fine. does anyone have a tip or solution? thx, Twan 18
Sounds like you may have shorted something on the home button or damage it somehow while doing the repair. Heat is usually the sign of a short. Take a close inspection of the home button to see if you can find any tears. Also check the cables and their connectors. You could also have a bad screen depending on where you sourced it from.
