Hey, I have replaced the screen of an iphone 7. But i ran into some problems. When i tried to remove the lcd shield of the old screen i twisted one of the screws. So i didn’t put the heat shield on the replacement screen. But when i assembled the phone again the screen sticks out of the bezel and the home button doesn’t work anymore. Is this because i have not put back the lcd shield ? And does anyone know where i can get one with screws included ? Kr Lesley

I doubt this has anything to do with the LCD Shield but i do believe the LCD Shield is used for grounding for the Proximity sensor(The copper tape that is attaches to the flex cables on the screen), so defiantly reinstall this. The Home Button Flex may have been damaged during repair. I would bring it to an iPhone repair shop so they can test with a known good home button.
