My MacBook Pro suddenly started to develop a flickering on the display. At first, the flicker was pretty mild and then became really intense to where the computer wasn’t really usable. I reset the NVRAM and the SMC and it did not work. I also tried to boot in safe mode with no luck. I saw that some people could control the flicker whereby if they turn their WiFi off the flicker would stop and this was not the case for me. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into what the problem may be? I’ve attached a video clip of the problem.
this computer is basically new with the updates that I’ve made to it in the last 6 months: 2 new 512GB SSDs, 16 GB of RAM, a new Broadcom 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi card, and new WiFi connector cable. I’m not really sure what the problem is and would appreciate any diagnostic help!
You’ll need to see if connecting to an external display still shows the issue on it. If not then you need either a new LVDS cable or a new internal display. If its visible on the external then your logic board VRAM has issues.
