For at least a month now, I have noticed a randomly occurring flicker on my screen of my 2018 MacBook pro as can be seen in the photos, the glitch appears to be in a grid of dots appearing in a vertical strip across the bottom portion of the screen it doesn’t seem to matter what i’m doing with the laptop, there isn’t a pattern as to why its occuring any help is appreciated
This is likely a noise issue within the T-CON board. To double check plug in an external monitor so when you see the issue on the internal you don’t see it on the external. The best thing you can do here is bring it in to an Apple Store or authorized service center hopefully its covered under warranty. You’ll need a new display assembly which is quite expensive! The T-CON board is directly attached to it.
I have the exact same issue. I’ve took it to Apple and they replaced the screen. Didn’t fix the problem. Took it in again, and they said it wasn’t a hardware issue and I should wait for an update to fix the problem. Still have the issue today… Updating to Catalina to see if that fixes the problem.
