Hi all, Today I did the reset on the PRAM. The laptop started fine, but when it loaded almost completely, the screen showed a horizontal line. After that the screen was black and turnt on again. After that the laptop started fine. I saw about a recall of the 2011 models, so I think I’m going to send mine to Apple. But has someone else had this problem? I read that It could be something with the FileVault, which I had on. I turnt it off, but still got the problem although the files are being decrypted atm.
I have seen that line several times on different machines but only in the last month. Are you running Sierra? Let’s also see if @danj has seen this.
I would definitely go to Apple and have them run their internal test software to see if this is affected by the recall. Do it soon, I’m sure you will, because the date at which this extended service program ends is the end of this year, 2016. After that, they won’t replace it for free.
