Hi, I bought an ASUS LCD Monitor last year and over the last few months it has developed a fault where faint lines are displayed across the display. The lines don’t show on white backgrounds, just darker colours. There is then a black line that fades towards the middle of the LCD at the top. I have tried the monitor with different computers over HDMI, VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. I have also tried to reason with ASUS but they are unable to repair monitors apparently and can only offer a refurbished unit (A repaired display?). Thanks
The problem is the LCD display. Refurbished is a good way to go, just find out what the warranty is when replaced. Generally, the warranty of the refurbished unit is either the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days, this varies depending on vendor.
