Chosen Solution
just moved and when I set my tv up again (UN50KU6720, 50 INCH 4K) I got this transparent grey bar on the top of my screen. I have tried everything I could find online to fix it: I have unplugged all HDMIs and turned it on, unplugged all HDMIs and unplugged it for 30sec-1 min before turning it back on, I also took off the back panel of the TV so I could see if there was any loose connections, but nothing was obviously wrong. I also turned off smart hub to no avail. Besides the black bar, when I have my ps4 on and I’m scrolling the the menu items on the part of the screen that has the grey bar, it briefly turns a shade of purple and takes a moment for the icon that was there before scrolling to fade. When the screen is on something very white or bright it also turns that shade of purple. Someone on reddit suggest I do this: https://youtu.be/Q_k3thuCx9c but I want a second opinion! I provided photos from the screen test in the TV’s self diagnostics below:
Any help is greatly appreciated. edit: new photos as requested. first two photos are of labels, the others are just general views.
edit: new horizontal line after removing and reconnecting ribbons
edit: bent connectors on ribbon
