I recently found this 2017 Macbook Air someone threw out. I didn’t realize how new it was until I saw the manufacture date of the SSD and that this thing might be worth saving (it would be the newest computer I’ve ever found thrown out in my Uni’s ewaste). How bad is this board damage? I know the corrosion is very severe and I plan to run this through with lots of swabs and isopropyl. It doesn’t turn on (I don’t think) but still responds to a SMC reset. Is this worth all of the 90% isopropyl from Walmart or should I declare this thing legally deceased?
I think this is quite bad, its had a chance to stew. Do you have access to a second system so you can check the parts (Display & Battery) If not I would try swapping out a known good logic board. It might end up costing too much to fix.
