My Kindle is stuck in Chinese Mode and can’t work out how to change it to English.
Here’s answer - If you don’t have ads - may be different list items for with adds… home (house) top left Menu top right 3 dots 2nd from bottom (settings) look for the globe - 5th down list first one in list is language That should be it this took me hours to figure after my 4 year old swiped my new kindle and used it as a phone If they change the order play around until you find the globe - then try every item in that list until get language.
Older versions of Kindle: After clicking on settings icon then click the ‘World’ icon. From the next screen click the first item in the list. From there you will be taken to the language page. Click the dropdown arrow and choose English…third from the top. On newer versions of Kindle without categorized menu: Click on settings icon then scroll to the bottom. Click the icon 3rd from the bottom. This icon resembles 3 sliding bars. On the next screen click the first item in the list. On the following screen click the dropdown arrow and choose English…fourth one from the top.
Hi, I just had this happen to me. I bought a refurbished kindle paperwhite from Woot and when I started it up, it was in Chinese. I found a simple solution (if you have an iphone), use the google translate app, in camera mode, and point it at the screen. I could navigate through the settings to switch the language. Cheers, Jim
I have a Lilyput 5” monitor that changed changed Language to Chinese could you please let me know how to change it back to English it would help me if you could show a video / picture of the monitor and what buttons to press to achieve success. I’d be so grateful for your help Roy 25-11-21
I have a. Lilyput 5” field monitor that’s gone Chinese how do I get it back to English
I was also able to navigate it by pointing my phone’s camera at the screen using Google translate to auto detect and translate the screens!
I have been struggling with the language change as I use Google Chrome. Thank you for helping me too.
I used the auto translate function in google on my phone. It ’took’ a picture of the kindle screen and translated everything to english, so I could make the correct selections in the menus.
