Okay, I have an LG Q6 (not the G6) but Q6 was not an option in the device list on this forum. Guess the phone is newer than the list. Anyways, proximity sensor. Normally, one can turn that off (disable it) in the call settings under the phone app. Unfortunately, I do not see such an option on the Q6. The purpose of the proximity sensor is to turn off the screen when you put the phone to your ear so you ear doesn’t touch the “touch screen” and hang up calls. (You can just as easily tap the power button quickly to turn off the screen before putting it to you ear but LG thought a proximity sensor might automate things a bit.) The problem I have, is that I have a severe visual impairment so I often have to put the phone’s screen inches from my eyes to see it and, as a consequence, the proximity sensor shuts the screen off. Bloody !&&*. I just want to disable the proximity sensor completely and there’s no option in settings. And yes, I’ve looked MANY times.

Try any of the ff: [] Settings –> Quick cover case- try turning it off [] There are apps that can disable proximity sensor i.e. Proximity Screen Off Lite [] turn on Developer Options —> turn on “STAY AWAKE” (works while device is charging) to turn on Dev Option: SETTINGS –> ABOUT PHONE–> SOFTWARE INFO –> BUILD NUMBER (tap multiple times until you see a message that developer option has been turned ON) then go back to settings, you will find the Developer Options just above the " About Phone" option

I had the same problem, did this and it turned the proimity setting off on my new LG Q6: Settings/General/Acessability/Vision/Talkback/Settings/Use Proimity Sensor - turn off.

I have a problem in LG Q6+ my phone is getting automatically switch off when my battery is full chargered. But still it is getting off I have done all the procedure in settings>Developer option>stay awake but still it is getting switch off.

It would greatly help if this people would READ the question before posting answers. Half the answers in this place have no bearing on the original question.

Not working any way…

Ohh noooo, I don’t have already the old frame, how should i fix it now? Any advice?

I had the same issues and what fixed it was i had to open the phone and clean off the tint on the front glass where the sensor is and now the sensor works without any issues again,i just did this process about an hour now.

hey guys the best thing to do is get an iPhone because the simple fact is that your phone is trash.. simply put again for you it’s not an iPhone. We don’t even have these problems. Go check out apple.com and buy yourself a real SMART phone where you’ll be able to see everything you need and answer phone calls without having issues. have a great day with your new iPhone!
