Chosen Solution

So a couple years ago, my mom spilled Diet Coke on my dads laptop and ever since, the laptop won’t turn on at all. We took it to a repair place and they said it’s screwed, but I want to try fixing it myself. There’s some visible corrosion, but I can’t see any burn marks except for what looks like a burn under the triggered moisture detector. Below are some videos I took with a magnifying lens so you can see it more clearly. Can anyone find any burn marks or anything like that? Also does anyone know what the broken part is called? Thanks!! https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OZUzeY

@yocracra we need still pictures of the components as well as the area on the logic board. what you have here is a whole bunch of damage related to it. for now you want to clean your board. So first take some pictures, leave the corrosion since that will help us identify the components etc. After that clean the board with some high grade (90%+)isopropyl alcohol and a soft toothbrush. Gently brush the board clean, no scrubbing. Yes, it is okay to submerge it in. Post some pictures of the after. From what I can see your board is a 820-4924-A and yes we will know what parts those are but need to make sure. That is why we need those pictures.
