I was grinding some metal to start welding and i had my phone on the ground ,and a heavy metal fell on my phone, it now has a black spot on the bottom right and a bright light going all the way up ,how can i fix this and what is it?

You might be able to replace the LCD alone following this guide Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Display Replacement iFixit doesn’t stock the part its more work but its a bit cheaper. As we don’t have a firm idea whats damaged you will likely do better with the full part.
