Chosen Solution
My macbook had SSD failure a while ago. Thankfully I had just updated from Mavericks to Catalina. I physically installed the new SSD and Im following the following instructions: https://eshop.macsales.com/tech_center/f… The problem is, when the system is booting in recovery mode, I can tell its still using Mavericks. When I click on disk utility all it shows is “base system 0”. I cant erase or partition or do anything. To be specific, I cant even move past step 2 under formatting the SSD because that option isnt even there. Help is much appreciated!!
