Since I last used the Proscan Android tablet 2 weeks ago, the screen has become damaged. I keep the device stored in the protective case with the blue tooth keypad and then inside of carrying bag. When I went to use it to sync up new health program, I noticed internal spider leg cracks. Once the unit is powered up, it lights up bright on one side and a shade of blue on other side. In the lower left hand corner there is a small black blob. Does this sound like a repairable condition. If so, can someone provide a cost. I would also like to know the replacement cost of a unit so that I can use the case and wireless keyboard. Ms. Van Wilson 912-656-5379
@sfv , Van, At the 1st link, approx. $20.00 for replacement screen/touch panel no digitizer, (labour not incl.) and has a replacement guide at the same link so you can see what is invovled. 2nd link is just one of many sites offering the device for sale $79.00. You can do a google or Bing search for possible cheaper pricing on the screen, screen/digitizer assy. and the complete device. At ifixit volunteer site here, we do not estimate the labor as rates can vary from shop to shop/country to country. If not comfortable trying repair yourself, best to take device in to a good local cell phone/computer repair shop have them take a look and estimate repair. Good luck.
