Chosen Solution
Hello everyone ! I have a very curious situation with my macbook pro 2011. Fews days ago, when I was using it on Pages, my mac bugged and restarted. But after the white screen with the apple logo (and the loading bar), my sreen remaine white and empty. I tried the Reset of SMC and PRAM and nothing. No more luck on safe mode. So I tried to reinitialize it from internet ou USB Stick (with CMD R, CMD ALT R and so…), but the white screen remained and I never get to the utility windows. So I tried a fsck in single mode, but the problem is still the same. The SSD is working fine, and I tested with only one ram stick, and the other just in case. Someone told me it could be the sata cable, but after a trial with a another one and… the problem is still here. In last, I tried to remove my SSD and boot with nothing connected, I don’t have the usual white screen one with the folder with « ? » (which is perferctly normal, but I was happy to see my mac stucked on another screen) I have used all the solutions I could find, and I’m completly stuck with it, and of course. If anyone have an idea or the solution, I would be greatful !
Sorry to say your dedicated GPU has failed. You’ve proved it when you went into safe mode.
Try booting from the SSD externally using a USB to SATA adapter. If this works, change the hard drive/IR cable to the more substantial 2012 cable.
