Chosen Solution
While pulling on the webcam cable, I accidentally tore it from its connector piece.
I am aware of this solution that requires the replacement of the cable. However, could I do the repair by reattaching the cable to the connector piece? I should also mention that the solution can require soldering. Update 03/19/22
@handlebars let’s see the inside of the connector where the cable attaches to. May be tough to get a good picture….also, what does the cables end look like? I would give it some consideration to solder the wire directly to the connector on the board. Not the nicest fix but it could definitely be done. It all depends on what this all looks like and what your soldering skills are. Let us know what your hesitation is to replace it the proper way.
Sorry I haven’t found any means to salvage the connector or the connections to the connector. The only way is replacing the cable as I outlined in the previous answer you linked to.
