This is not about the Zoom. I had to pick an existing device to post my question and this is the closest thing. I have a Sony PCM D50 digital recorder that operates off an AC adapter or a battery pack. The battery pack is not a sealed unit but a tray filled with 4 AA batteries and slid into the battery pack slot. The problem is I can’t remove the pack anymore. There are two orange lock tabs on the side of the pack that pressed in, unlocking the pack which would slide out. There is no movement. Any ideas on how to get it out?

Just a guess but maybe the battery pack was inadvertently jarred, displacing a battery or more, jamming the pack from removal. Tried pressing the pack in then attempt removal? If you know how the batteries sit and there’s an exposed side to allow battery movement out of the pack and jam in the recorder, maybe banging it against your palm can reposition the loose batteries back into place for pack removal. Another method might be inserting a thin plastic knife between pack and interior to unjam things. Worse case scenario would be carefully disassembling the case to have better access for pack removal.
