Chosen Solution

When I press on either key, I have to exert more pressure than usual. Because of the split design, how should I go about safely removing the keys so that I can remove any dust dust/crumbs/hair. TIA Update

  1. we don’t have an Apple Store here in this country, and Apple Resellers will charge a lot of money :/
  2. I’ve cleaned other keys, but i’m not sure how the up/down keys are assembled, so I don’t want to open them without advice/guidance.

Don’t do anything! Contact Apple for the extended keyboard repair program. They will repair or more likely replace your keyboard under warranty! »> FREE «< If you damage the keys you could void the extended warranty, that would be a very expensive repair!
