Chosen Solution
I got a new upper case and everything works great except for this backspace key. I got a new key assembly but the plastic underneath got smashed. The key works, but I have to press it very hard in order for it to register. Is there a way I can fix this without buying a new upper case?
It looks like you tried to glue it. The bail clips appear to be broken off (plastic in this series). Other than using an external keyboard I see no solution other than replacing the uppercase, or if you’re up to it replacing the keyboard alone (this is not easy!)
