I spilled a soda on my macbook pro. After the spill, it immediently turned off. After taking it to the repair store, my Mac works, only with the condition that the charger must be plugged in and connected with my mac. I’ve understood that the motherboard(?) may have been damaged and the battery is completely broken. What can I do to revive my mac?

You could buy a new battery online, but it is probably a similar price to a new or very good condition used macbook. The soda will also accelerate oxidation of the integrated circuits, so your keyboard and memory will start to go soon. I would recommend just buying a new one.
