I’m trying to upgrade the laptop’s RAM and HDD. I’ve managed to replace the 2 512MB sticks of RAM with 2 2GB sticks and even though it only shows 3GB in the BIOS the replacement wasn’t an issue. The main problem is that I’m trying to replace the HDD with an SSD as well but I can’t manage to remove the top cover of the laptop so I can replace the HDD. I think you have to remove first the keyboard and then front cover. here the service manual for the VGN N Serie untitled hope this will help
